After thirty years as a librarian specializing in art information management (including a stint as Director of the Arts Libraries at Yale), I joined the Corporate and Foundation Relations department of Yales Office of Development as a writer and editor. During my twelve years in the Development Office, I raised funds and prepared grant proposals and leadership correspondence in support of the arts, humanities, and libraries at Yale. I retired from Yales Office of Development in 2023. I came to Yale in 2001 from the University of Chicago, where I worked for seventeen years in the library system as a senior manager, and where I earned my PhD in the history of art. I live in New Haven and remain actively engaged with the university, including as a member of the Yale University Library Council.
Ive been a Davenport fellow for over twenty years.

Focused currently on the music industry, where I'm Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Chord Music Partners (largest global pure-play music rights owner) and Founder of JKBX (leader in fractional ownership of music rights). I'm also Co-Founder of Dataminr, the leader in AI for real-time breaking news, and spent almost 20 years as a Portfolio Manager and/or President of investments firms with a focus on risk arbitrage and event-driven investing. Former President and Social Chair of Davenport College Council. Host a radio show every Sunday night on 95.9 the Fox in Fairfield County and 94.3 the Shark in Long Island. Live in Westport, CT with my wife and our three children.

Wrote for The Wall Street Journal's news staff on a fulltime basis from 1968 until mid-May 2007

Retired from fulltime WSJ staff in 2007 but continue to serve as Tax Columnist for The WSJ's Wealth Management section. Best decision: Marrying Marilyn Lee Lytle in January 1981.
Played on Davenport's intramural tennis team while an undergrad at Yale.

Zoe Hunter joined the Tsai CITY team in August 2019 where she served as an Innovation Fellow and Director of Student Programming, before stepping into the role of Managing Director. During her time at Tsai CITY, she was responsible for overseeing the center’s venture development programs, the Student Advisory Board, Innovator’s Toolkit, and Innovator’s Wellness series. In her current role, she works collaboratively to lead programming, communications, and DEIB strategy for the center.

Zoe has experience in student services, communications, resource development and community engagement—having served previously at Yale School of Nursing, Yale Divinity School, and United Way of Greater New Haven. Beyond her work at Tsai CITY, Zoe is a Fellow for Davenport College and an Adjunct Professor for Quinnipiac University's School of Communications. She is also a certified life coach and the award-winning creator of women empowerment brand, DEAR QUEENS, founded to inspire women toward personal and spiritual development.

Zoe is passionate about helping people become their best selves and creating lasting impact in the lives of others. She brings expertise that centers communications strategy, program design, and creative entrepreneurship. She is also passionate about emotional wellness, self-discovery, and purpose-driven living.
