Brief biography:
Most of my career was devoted to mathematical research. In the 1990s, I started also to give serious attention to mathematics education. Both interests have continued into retirement. Rowed as an undergraduate. Married since 1967, two children and four grandchildren. While at Yale, I commuted by bicycle from Hamden. Am still riding.
