Event time:

Location:
Davenport Common Room See map
248 York St
New Haven, CT 06517
Event description:

Youth homelessness is an issue that places marginalized populations (youth of color, in foster care, and who identify as LGBTQ) in extremely vulnerable situations. Y2Y Harvard Square is the nation’s first student-run homeless shelter for young adults ages 18-24, based in Cambridge, MA. Co-founders Sam Greenberg and Sarah Rosenkrantz began working on Y2Y as Harvard undergraduate volunteers at the student-run Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. They will speak about the process of founding Y2Y Harvard Square, what they have learned along the way, and about their current work to support the opening of Y2Y New Haven, a Yale student-driven initiative.
