Eliza King

Interests:

Painting, reading, archery, cooking

Brief biography:

I serve as Assistant Director of Development at the Peabody Museum, but I like to say I fundraise for the dinosaurs. Every day I learn remarkable things about the history of our planet, and it’s my job to connect philanthropists with opportunities to support the Museum and the resources it offers the Yale and scientific communities.

I came to Yale by way of the art world, earning an applied business degree for the art market from the Sotheby’s Institute in New York. While studying for my Master’s, I moonlit for Yale admissions part time. After working in External Affairs at MoMA through their historic renovation and reopening, I decided to do it all again at the Peabody, which has reopened this year. Please, come visit, and make sure to say hello!

As the wife of a proud Davenport alumnus from the class of 2010, I am committed to supporting student life and mentorship as a fellow of the college. In my free time, I love to read, cook, and go for walks around Wooster Square with our daughter Maggie.

Eliza King earned her B.A. in English and Art History from Colgate University in 2012 and an M.A. Art Market Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in 2018.
