Brief biography:
Claire Bowern researches how languages change and language vitality: how languages change over time and what methods support language communities in language reclamation. Claire is originally from Australia and enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking.
She received her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Australian National University in 1998, a PhD in Linguistics from Harvard University in 2004, and a Master of Arts (privatim) from Yale University in 2017.
